Chicago Politics Didn’t Work in Illinois – What Made People Think They Would Work in DC?

It is widely known that Chicago Politics is rather nasty and more than one politician over the years has flat disappeared, while so many have been character assassinated or have fallen from grace due to their own device. Since Chicago politics are so nasty, mean-spirited, and Machiavellian in nature, one has to wonder why we would want that of our leaders.

It is interesting that we have elected a president of the United States that came from the cesspool of Chicago politics (my opinion). After all, if someone gets their political training in Chicago or in the State of Illinois, they are often liable to think about how to go about things differently, and in doing so may not produce what is best for the United States citizen, but more often what is best for themselves and legacy in the long-term.

We run a nation with 300 million people and a GDP during the positive business cycles of something like $17.1 trillion. This is not about an individual ruler, our president is not a king, and we deserve more than that for the American people. It is truly amazing that no one discussed this during the election, as it should have been obvious that this would be the last thing you would want if someone had learned all of their politics in the Chicago area.

The politics of this style of leadership are too quick to burn down really good people, and promote rather wicked ones. This means if we have a president that uses this type of style they are liable to destroy good citizens who have volunteered to serve in government, and promote members within their own ranks, which are less than ethical.

Now realize, I am not making a statement either way about our current president or his personal mindset, who knows maybe he deplores that style of politics and wanted to move up and out, preventing that at the national level? What I am doing is making a generalization and a reality check of the stereotype that comes from Chicago politics.

Corrupt Chicago politics does not serve the people of Illinois, it’s amazing that we would be led to believe that that style would serve the American people in the capital of our nation. Please consider all this and if you agree with this article, call someone who cares.
